Gmail has one interesting feature of sending notifications about incoming chats and emails to your Android device. Whenever you are away from Gmail , you can get information about various activities going on, on your Email ID. This feature can be activated by changing few settings in your inbox. This option also works with Chrome browser , but if you are using another web browser, then with third-party extensions you can set the same function. Follow the below steps to enable Gmail Desktop notifications Go to Gmail inbox and then find gear icon, hit on it and then select Setting from various options that are displayed in the drop-down menu. You will see a ribbon of various options such as "General", "Labels", "Inbox", and so on at the top of the page. Hit on "General" tab.
